Editing the Workbench Date for an Auto Refill Future Fill
In some situations, a patient may have enough medication left and they don't need a refill till later. For an Auto Refill prescription, you have the option to edit the Workbench Date (WB Date) for the next fill. This can be done from the Auto Refill - Enrollment window or Patient Profile. An edited WB Date is only applied to the next fill; it is not carried forward when refilling the prescription.
If you want to edit the WB Date for one or more prescriptions at once, do so from the Auto Refill - Enrollment window. From the Patient Profile, you can only edit the WB Date for one prescription at a time.
From the Auto Refill - Enrollment window, you can change the WB Date for one or more prescriptions. The same date can also be applied to multiple prescriptions at once.
To edit one or more WB Dates:
-
Open the Auto Refill - Enrollment window from one of the following locations:
-
Patient Folder Programs tab
-
Rx > Auto Refill
You cannot open the Auto Refill - Enrollment window during a Rebill or Amend Next. You must complete the Rebill or Amend Next first.
-
-
Do one of the following:
-
If you want to set the WB Date for a single prescription, select the calendar button for the applicable prescription.
-
If you want to apply the same WB Date to multiple prescriptions:
-
Select the checkboxes for the applicable prescriptions.
-
Select Set WB Date.
-
-
-
Select the new date from the calendar.
-
Select OK.
From the Patient Profile, you can change the WB Date for one Auto Refill prescription at a time. This option is only available for prescriptions enrolled in Auto Refill. Prescriptions that were declined or ineligible for Auto Refill cannot have their WB Date set from the Patient Profile.
To edit a WB Date:
-
Open the Patient Folder.
-
Select the Profile tab.
-
In the Auto Refill column, select the calendar button for the applicable prescription.
You may need to scroll to the right to see the calendar button.
-
Select the new date from the calendar.
The new date is reflected on the Patient Profile below the calendar button and on the Workbench as the Ready Time for the future fill.
Amending Next or Rebilling a Prescription with an Edited WB Date
Depending on the scenario, a WB Date that was manually edited is either retained or overridden on a Rebill or Amend Next:
-
If the Days Supply was not changed, the manually edited WB Date is retained.
-
If the Days Supply was changed, the WB Date is recalculated based on the new Auto Refill Days Supply. The previous WB Date is overridden.
Picking Up a Prescription with an Edited WB Date for the Future Fill
If you edited the WB Date for a future fill and then picked up the prescription late, the WB Date is retained for the future fill.
